Yesterday, Shahparak Shajarizadeh was sentenced to 20 years in jail for removing her hijab to protest against the most ridiculously discriminatory law in Iran. Since 1979, women have been forced to wear hijab in Iran and removing it has been treated ruthlessly. Below is a video of her after hearing her sentence.
Fortunately, she has fled Iran and now is in safety.
It’s amazing how muslim feminists like Linda Sarsour who are fetishizing Islam and hijab are totally silent about all that’s happening to Iranian women.

I’m glad she’s safe. Why anyone in the western world would defend this religion is ridiculous. It’s because they don’t want their own sacred cows challenged.
